A Final Cut Library may contain multiple Events, within which you organize your Footage and Project Timelines.

By Default, FCPX will name an Event with the date it is created. If this isn't specific enough (it usually isn't), name your Event appropriately.
Within your Event, organize your Footage accordingly, when Importing, Logging, and Syncing.
